The Dukane ImagePro 8043 is a full-featured electronic imaging projector for education and road warrior office applications. It has the features needed for providing an exceptional image at a reasonable investment. With an image of 1100 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 400:1, the image is clearly visible in most classrooms and offices even with the lights on. It is a sharp 800 x 600 pixel image, that is rock solid with saturated colors for hours of pleasant viewing. Freedom of movement is possible with an easy to use infrared (IR) remote control included with the projector. A second set of controls is on the projector. A 1.3X zoom lens permits matching the image size to that of the screen.
The projector’s automatic scaling circuit provides correctly sized images for computer inputs of VGA, SVGA, XGA, and SXGA resolutions along with the MAC equivalents. Also, video signals in composite or s-video format from a camera, VCR, or DVD player can be displayed. To provide a mixed media class or presentation, the IR remote control can switch the projector between the composite, s-video, and computer inputs. Thus, the projector image from a computer on a web site can easily be switched to the image from a VCR or that from a local camera.
The remote control can also operate the computer mouse using the computer’s PS-2 or USB ports. Other remote control functions permit enlargement of an area of the image (zoom) and movement of the enlarged area (pan). For video an image can be "frozen". A "digital keystone" function assures that the image has the proper screen width.
The ImagePro 8043 can be used for normal front or rear screen projection. The image can also be switched for ceiling mounts. In all cases the whisper quiet cooling system never disturbs the room. A standard monitor output exists for special cases where the image must be locally viewed.
